The Melancholia jars in terracotta are all hand drawn.

The unique surface on the jars are made by firstly giving the raw jar a black layer of colour, which then is sanded. Afterwards the raw jar gets a base of black colour, which then is sanded. Then a thin layer of grey colour is applied which also is sanded to get the right colour and nuances. Finally the jar gets a layer of coating. Be aware of that you cant plant directly into the jar. Please note that the jar is not waterproof.
